The Elvis Govic Cup - A Tradition of Mateship

The Elvis Govic Cup has become a cornerstone of the Diamond Valley Superules calendar. Each year, we gather to honour the memory of our dear friend and teammate, Elvis Govic, in a spirited clash against the Echuca Moama Emus.

This year's event at Tony Sheehan Oval was particularly special, featuring Collingwood legend Ben Johnson, who stepped out of retirement to pull on the Diamond Valley jumper in tribute to Elvis. The game was played with the exact blend of competitiveness and camaraderie that Elvis loved.

Beyond the final siren, the day is about community. We shared a meal provided by our partners at General Chicken Co. and raised a glass to a man who embodied the spirit of AFL Masters football. It's more than just a game; it's a way for us to stay connected and support one another, keeping Elvis's legacy alive at the club.
